Dayfield Properties, LLC, headquartered in Will County 's oldest community of Plainfield , Illinois , develops quality real estate from residential to commercial and light industrial uses. Dayfield initially began development in 2002 with a commercial project at the corner of Route 30 and 143 rd Street in Plainfield, Illinois . That development will be the entrance to the “Dayfield” subdivision, site of 146 custom homes. One of the principals, longtime Plainfield resident Clayton Olsen, takes pride in providing quality projects and began real estate development to ensure superior design and excellence within the Plainfield community.

Although Dayfield Properties is a relatively new company, Mr. Olsen has been successful in development since 1995 when he created Wallin Woods subdivision in Plainfield .

Olsen is still developing the Wallin Woods Commercial parcel located adjacent to the new Village Hall and south of Lockport Street . This 37 acre parcel will be a showcase of mixed use design and will include business, entertainment, office and residential uses to form an important part of Plainfield 's expanded downtown. Another project, “Springbank”, is a 1000 acre residential development that will use innovative design ideas including a water park, large green space vistas, bike path connections and many other amenities that will make it a great addition to Plainfield .

Upcoming projects include “ Plainfield Small Business Park ” located on Route 30, 2 miles north of Route 126 and 1 mile west of IL 59. Conveniently located near Plainfield 's downtown and surrounded by much of the new residential development being built in Plainfield , this project will consist of nine buildings that will have easy access for small retail and service businesses to serve their customers and suppliers. The other mixed use project, “Prairie Creek”, is located on IL 59, north of 143 rd St . This project will include quality retail along Route 59 that transitions into a high end town home community. Prairie Creek will incorporate natural landscape features including a native prairie area, bike trail network, and views of the DuPage River making it another project that Plainfield will be proud of.
